Eating more raw food naturally encourages weight loss. This represents FS's first raw food site. I know little about the raw food lifestyle but will be sharing what I learn here, including links to great raw sites or other resources. I am looking forward to your posts. All are welcome here, whether your plan consists of one raw salad or your entire meal plan.

Why raw?
Reading that the Hunza centurions consume 80% of their foods raw. Also, it appears that many nutrients in foods are more accessible to the body eaten raw.

Introductions - interest in raw foods
My interest is in improving and maintaining health. Trimming off my fat is a part of that goal. Eating more raw foods can help me to reach and maintain both goals.

What is raw food?
Would you agree that raw foods are foods that are not cooked? Having said that, some might state that raw foods are those only slightly heated.
