When I was a girl in high school, I was a good athlete. Basketball, track, vollyball, softball, everything that was offered. Cheerleading???? No, that was for the petite pretty girls. Although I was never fat, I was taller than most 5'8". The styles of the day didn't do anything for me, gathered skirts and tucked in blouses. Remember, beauty isn't the only measure of success.

absolutely - there are some so called beautiful people who are ugly as sin inside - and we are all worth more than our pant size!

I loved the way you said that Fondashuz. I had an older sister that made me feel like the "incredible hulk". She rubbed it in that my shoe size was 9 compared to her size 6.

She grew up to be loving and kind, so different from the teenager that made my life miserable.. My sister was very vain. She lived on cigarettes and black coffee just to stay thin. When she was older she got copd and had to be tethered to an oxygen tank. She died when she was 70, her lungs just couldn't exhale the carbon monoxide they had lost all their elasticity.

What a shame. but a good reminder that kids can say and do some horrible things and then grow out of it. we just have to move on from those things too!

Hey, 5’7” teenager, skinny & NO BOSOM! Similarly picked on in high school. Became substantially overweight post menopause & due to meds. So I have had the full range of body types, from looking almost skeletal to being obese
( fortunately just barely). Health must drive us, in all of our life stages. It’s the prime reason for paying attention to our weight.
