I've been slipping back into old habits, snacking between meals, allowing myself to have small amounts of ice cream, chips or cookies etc, eating more than one protein bar a day trying to break the sugar habit. I've regained 9 lbs of my 85lb loss. So I'm back here on Fat Secret to start tracking everything I eat to get back on track!

I know the feeling. I too have been snacking and indulging in things that I shouldn't be eating. I have gained 3 pounds back. I had Vertical Sleeve Gastric Surgery in July of 2019. I have only lost 42 pounds and am discussed with my progress. I am 63 years old and have not been able to exercise because of a knee injury and it doesn't help that I have been on steroids which makes me hungry all the time. I joined Fat Secret when I first began my weight loss journey and have been tracking my weight loss since the beginning. I keep a food journal everyday and even write down the junk that I consumed that day.

I wanted to add that I'm 2 years out of the VSG and had some weight gain too of about 10 lbs. I stopped exercising and started getting off track too. Being a food addict, this has been my biggest struggle. I wish you both the best. What are your tips for getting back on track? I've started weighing my food again, tracking, and started to keep my self accountable again. I started late night snacking and knew I needed to stop.

I hear you. I had my VSG in May of 2019 and have lost 65 lbs, all of which came off in a year. I haven't lost anything in the past 9 months or so and still have a good 80 lbs to go to get to goal. So easy to fall into bad habits. I was on the Bariatric Pal App for a while after the surgery, but it just didn't work so I thought I'd try tracking my foods here.
