Last 2 weeks have been extra hard. Have chronic neck and low back pain. Am totally disabled and basically live in my recliner or bed. Have a thyroid totally shot. Am oddly allergic to all thyroid meds. Was a hospital case study. Can only try to eat thyroid friendly foods and avoid many such as soy that are not thyroid friendly.
Neck and back pain has been flaring recently. Working so hard to reduce inflammation.
Dieting with diabetic friendly foods. Also exercising using dumbbells from my chair. Last to weeks oddly have not lost a lb. I’d like to hope I’ve replaced fat with some muscle from intense exercising using those dumbbells. Diet is the hardest. Not limiting so much as changing what I eat. I know that’s helping as my basic glucose readings are getting close to normal again. Am 238 but a month ago was 254. So “progress is our most important product”. I know I’m dating myself. 73 years young!!💪🏻👍🏻. Don’t understand how this forum works technically, so forgive me if I don’t respond. But will try.

I feel for you Davey.
At least I can get up (with accompanying severe back spasms).
I have just experienced severe back pain every time I move too quickly of sit or get up.
(Going to bed is particularly hard). I too have Diabetes 2 and am 70 years of age.
I just lost my Mum on 2nd Feb and she was my only family contact, with rest of family living in other states and unable to visit me due to Covid19 restrictions.
Living alone when you can't do much (can't house clean, even having difficulty showering). Christmas will be miserable for me, but I see there are people worse off than me (such as yourself, unfortunately). Hang in there mate (Australian expression) and I pray your troubles will decrease and you will return to a more comfortable existence.

Have you read or listened to Dr. Jason Fung on Diabetes and Obesity? He is on Youtube and has blogs for free on thefastingmethod.com. I have heard that coconut oil help thyroid function and inflammation.
