I decided to trim my winter coat. Goal was to shed 8 pounds. Already shed 5 in two weeks. Three to go to be back to that mean lean 56 year old machine. I enjoy a good goal and achieving it. My experience and current technique is to burn more calories than I consume each day. Presently my calorie deficit is over 1,000 per day. The calories I consume are higher in protein and fats than carbohydrates than when I am not trying to lose. This winter was the first time in four years I gained weight. Mainly because I ate food very high in carbohydrates and had reduced exercise. Reduced calories, lower carbs, and exercise and the weight just disappears.Wink
