I am new to the Group, I am a 39yr old female looking to lose 60lbs. I am married and have 3 teenagers. I am looking for some people to connect with to help motivate each other. Look me up.

Hi! I am 36 with one 3 year old daughter. My husband supports me but as he is skinny and can everything he wants doesn't always understand my eating choices. He also is very limited in the veggies he likes which makes it challenging. My daughter and I have been trying to eat the rainbow in fruits and veggies everyday. She thinks it a fun game. It I more fun when playing with someone else. However, he is the first person to tell me I look great because to him I am the mother of his beautiful daughter. He doesn't see the pounds like I do.

I am trying to stick to an exercise routine, but it is hard as I run my own business and jobs always mean travel and it is hard to eat right on the road and traveling wears me out because it stresses me out.

Currently I have lost only 14 pounds, but would like to lose 46. However, I am struggling as pregnancy really screwed up my hormones and since the pill gives me migraines I am very limited on ways to fix it, so I just go with the flow and am trying to accept things as they are. My goal is to lose the weight before the family trip to the beach when my daughter turns 8. 5 years should be enough time right?
Tomorrow is fresh with no mistakes in it.

You guys can do it. On your weight loss path, I recommend making smaller, intermediate, goals you can achieve. It helps when things get frustrating and intimidating. Also, I grabbed a pair of jeans from the thrift store to use as "goal jeans." Loosing weight is great, but I really want to fit in smaller clothes. Clothing goes by inches, not pounds. (i.e. I just gained 3#' I also lost 3 inches off my waist...yay!)

Building muscle is going to be important so don't just do cardio and exclude weights. Muscle burns more calories when you're at rest than fat does. It also takes up less volume (space). You can actually gain weight (in muscle) and loose dress sizes. It's pretty awesome. Don't sweat becoming muscle bound. I have a friend who's training to compete in a bikini competition. Her regime is INSANE. Adding some weight training to your routine will not make you musclely.
