I am new to this, I have been over weight all of my life. I want to lose weight so I can be healthier. I just bought the Sonoma Diet book and cookbook and hope that they help with my journey. One downfall I have about diets is that everytime I try to start one I end up thinking about food more than before and I fail due to habit and lack of resistance. I hope this works out. With this site, it is going to be no hold back because when the truth is out there its harder to hide.

I, too, have been overweight as long as I can remember. I think 3rd grade was the last time I didn't look pudgy in a picture. I believe I can change. I need to change. I want to be healthy! I've been going to the gym 4-5 days a week and trying to watch what I eat. This is my first week on Fatsecret, but I'm thinking this will really help me to have others in the same boat as me. Good luck to everyone! I hope you reach your goals and STAY POSITIVE! =]

Hi I'm 27, and I am sick of losing the weight then gaining it back! I am a stay at home mom and I love kid food! I hope to make this the last time and to get into good habits that really stick. Maintaining is the hardest part, once you get there, not much glamour in it.

Hey guys! I'm 23 and have been a bit over weight most of my life. I was about 20lbs or so overweight 5 years ago, and since then life has been a neverending series of bad luck and bad ideas, and I gained about 50-55 lbs. I see my body deteriorating more and more and I really don't want to look like this or feel like this anymore. I need someone to help me stay on track, especially at the beginning! I have the app on my phone and have started logging all of the food I eat as much as possible and trying to always have at least some sort of calorie deficit for the day!

Hi everyone,

I'm 24 and have been overweight for the last 6 years. I'm mostly at home doing online courses. Currently I weigh 185pounds and I need to be in between 104-131 pounds. My goal is to be 110lbs... and I know that's 75lbs to lose. I welcome any advice. Hope to stick to weight loss.

Best advice I can give is dont Diet!! Just eat healthier, by eating healthier you will be healthier!! Mind over Matter!! I used to have the same problem as you cause the word Diet is sooo negative!! And remember no matter what always keep the calories burned number higher then the calories eaten!! We can do this!!
