Val2009's P90X Nutrition


I begin every day with a healthy and hearty breakfast around 6:00am, followed by a healthy snack at 10am, lunch at noon, another light healthy snack at 3pm, dinner at 6pm, and sometimes a light snack, but never after 7:30pm. This routine is adhered to 7 days a week.

 How To Follow Val2009's P90X Nutrition:

Discipline is key. When I began, the biggest challenge was going to be sugar, so I went hard core, no sugar for the first 2 weeks, and I was amazed, once I broke through that, the cravings disappeared. The exercises also, made me feel so much better that sticking to the nutrition was easier, since I was seeing results very quickly. It also helps that before I started, I was already pretty good with nutrition, I just need to make some adjustments. The key though....DO NOT allow yourself to feel hungry...keep the blood sugar as steady as possible.

About / History

I began the P90X program on May 18, 2009 and completed my first round of 90 days on August 15, 2009. I took a break day, and began the start of another 90 days on August 17, 2009. With this nutritional program I workout 6-7 days a week for 1 to 1.5 hours each day. For details on the workouts, Google P90X.

Val2009's top tips

1.Watch out for hidden sugars, and drop the obvious sugars.
2.Limit eating out to be only a special treat, and watch out what you eat when you do eat out.
3.Watch out for sodium.
4.Stay away from processed foods.
5.Cook at home from fresh, healthy ingredients.
6.Eat whole grains, and as little enriched flour as possible.
