This diet targets belly fat. You can use this diet if you have a little or a lot to lose. There is a 4 day jump start diet plan where you drink a pitcher of sassy water everyday - water, grated ginger, lemon, cucumber and mint. This soothes the digestive track and gets rid of your bloat. This water WILL flush you out! If you experience a lot of indigestion/heartburn then try this water. After 4 days then you follow a 1600 calorie day diet (women)eating 4 meals a day at 400 calories each.

However, exercise speeds up weight loss for the obvious reason and is better than a sedentary life style. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks.

1.Do the 4 day jump start diet. Drink the Sassy Water as described.
2.Plan and take the time to learn what foods to eat. Shop where you can find the best MUFA's. I like to shop at Central Market or Whole foods as I can get a variety of raw nuts & seeds in bulk.
3.Buy organic. Buy the name brand foods listed in the book. Don't skimp. These foods are amazing.
4.Buy the Flat Belly Diet book from Borders Bookstore or online at the Flat Belly Diet website. Follow the meals as suggested.
5.Buy the cookbook. Try cooking with these new foods. MUFAs are very satisfying!
