Morning Sistas, Didn't see this so decided to go ahead and start the thread for the day.

Anyone notice that the website tracker is different now I like it better I think back the way it was but I guess change is good.

I'm still trying to figure the new tracker out, Sarah. It is especially tough since I've been doing it on my phone which is not always easy for me. Smile

I am in Ellijay, GA for the walking. If we have 6,000+ miles to walk... YIKES! If 15 people post 10 miles a week, that is only 150 miles a week or 600 miles per 4 week challenge. It will take us 40 months to get there. With no breaks between challenges, that would take us to the end of the first week of December.

What I suggest is we set our route now and lock in the total miles - because as people join us, it will make our walk further and further and further. LOL

Once it is locked in then we can set our long-term goal to walk the whole way be the end of the year. If we can motivate new people and keep pushing ourselves, I think we can do it! And it would be really fun as we do it for people to talk about the towns we are passing, saying oh I visited there once, etc. And for those geographically challenged like me, maybe put the North American map into perspective. LOL

I was a high 4 yesterday. No pedometer (can't seem to get the hang of clipping that little sucker on), so not sure how far I walked. But I didn't do any cardio - just as many calisthenics as I could do in the car, waiting room (lots and lots of butt squeezes LOL).

Morning Teamies,

Thanks Sarah, yeah tracker is okay lesrning.

I will be busy next two days so if u dont see me posting dont worry I,m working hard to give a pedicure and post.

Cathy, U better figure out how to work your pedometer before next cjallenge,ha! You can get on a bike too so that will help. This walk is like losing weight its not about the destination it,s about the journey. If we like we can keep doing and if we don,t we won,t reach my state and I will still tell you about my state never fear.

Pam has the route planned out. We all have a starting point and we,ll do fine. It would help if everyone has a pedometer or we can convert steps to miles about 2112 average and if you know how long it takes you to walk a mile that,s good too. Here,s to a beautiful April of walking and when your in the rain sing, Okay thats not me where have I gone coffee please, Laurie

Hello Sista's...

Thank You for starting todays thread Sarah. I just couldn't start it @ 6:30am, I need H2o, tea & fuel before I can type.....lol

Cathy...Get that sucker on your hip. It does all the translation for you, with the click of a button, it will put your steps into miles. I find mine works best closer to my belly button, then my hip.

I think the new tracker is good. I will admit I DO NOT LIKE CHANGE.....
but some times it is good and necessary! I have faith we will all adjust Rolling Eyes In Time Laughing

Morning sistas!
Totally rushed out to get to pt last night & forgot to post totals...I got my 5 in, but my steps were lousy...only 1494. I will be doing some of my miles on the bike while building up my endurance...which right now is the problem for me.

Cathy-I had a problem with the first pedo I bought...just couldn't get it to work, so gave up & bought an inexpensive basic one at KMart that just tracks steps. Walmart & Target also have them.

Laurie-I like the idea of average...cause it's actually LOWER than my own which is 2280...but whatever works...I WILL walk to your place! And I hope you have coffee ready!

ANYBODY UP FOR CALF-RAISES TODAY? How many can you do?

Coffee at hand & time to work,
Kat

Hey everyone - I will send the walking list out later this evening since I forgot to forward the spreadsheet to my office. I pulled the information from thetimenow.com website. It offers air miles and nautical miles. Nautical miles are somewhat less than the air miles. Both calculations from this site are less than google maps.

Lunch is over gotta get back to work and prepare for a 2:00 pm webinar.

Whew!! Cleaning, cleaning all day long. It's a never ending battle.

Would someone please explain what you mean about the web tracker. I don't see any changes and don't know what a web tracker is.

Well, my pedometer has died. I will get another before Monday. Possibly a better one.

Be back later!

Ok ladies,

I started a new topic with the walking route along with the resource used. This list is based on air miles not nautical miles. The nautical miles list is only 5,055 miles.

Hey All,

Walking is going to be so much fun, maybe we could post some fun facts of our town or state, google it if you don't know anything about your town/city or just make it wide enough for state... Just an idea...

Miss Denise you will be first.. LOL.. we will be here before we know it.. LOL..

Foot at little better, co worker back this week, really rough for her, feel I may say the wrong thing to her.. Just don't want her to go off the deep end.. May need to get her hubby's number just in case...

Anyways... have near or over 5K the last 3 days feeling so much better about that, those numbers near 3K or 3.5 was absolutely giving the brain and ankle hurts.... lol..

Ok off to get some rest...

TTY Soon

lol, actually I wanted to make a spiach/strawberry salad too! I was gonna put in broccooli, bacon bits, red onion, and craisins. The original recipe uses mayo, sugar or honey and vinegar, but I was going to try some greek yogurt instead of mayo, or at least half light mayo and yogurt Smile
