What vision do you think you can turn into reality by the end of July?

For me - Over 6 long months of slow progress, I am finally attaining my weight loss goal as of today (hallelujah!) and would like to maintain and not regain the belly fat. I think it will be a shift in my WOE as I carefully reintroduce the forbidden foods that I love. This summer I want to wear my size mediums again and begin to tone my neglected muscles. So by the end of July I would like to have a flat tummy and enjoy all my old clothes, comfortably.

How about you?

I don't know where to start. The weight keeps coming on so easily. I have been noticing an ache in my knees. If I'm going to make this easy on myself, I'm going to have to tone up and move more. So, my plan to begin with is to fit in some cardio at least 4x week, and pilates or something the other 3 days and log my food every single day. I started tracking and paying better attention on 6/7 and have dropped 5 lbs which is a start. No excusing myself to over-indulge for any social event. My realistic goal is to lose 1 lb/wk and any more is a bonus. I would like to get down to 145 eventually and 1 lb a week as slow as that seems, is fine with me.

Well, that's my plan. High-five to you for reaching your goal. Hear me CHEERING!

BTW, my weight tracker seems to be off, or at least it was yesterday. My recorded weight is 187 but the tracker was saying 181...Don't know what that's all about.

I think you are being smart and realistic about your plan of about 1 pound per week. It takes longer to lose than gain - that's for sure! This FS journey does require endurance and perseverance and sometimes being "long suffering". But in the end when we are patient and loving ourselves the results are grand. Congrats on your 5 pounds drop! Yay!

I recently listened to a doctor's podcasts about keto and exercising. His philosophy (which is what my DH used to always say too) is we really need to focus on our core muscles and our exercises should involve quick bursts of energy. He felt we don't need to exercise longer, rather we need to do it properly. Such as sprints, climb stairs, lunges, squats, jump rope, resistance or weight exercises until we can't do another one. Then our core muscle will kick in the cortisol/adrenaline and burn fat and build muscle. So less reps, less time - do things faster, heavier, for bursts of interval exercises. Find what movements you can safely do without injuring yourself. I think the resistance exercises, lunges & squats while holding on to support and climbing hills and stairs works for me - I am a grandma now... My mom always says, "Act your age!" But I don't wanna grow old!

Check with FS Contact - see the link below on the FS site. Their support people are great about resolving glitches.

I think you're dead on with the exercise advice. I believe that too and I did one session like that about a month ago and I couldn't move without alot of pain for about 4 days. I'm not wimpy about that either, but I'd never experienced anything like it, therefore I knew it was effective. That is where I want to go with this, but I think I need to do just a little conditioning first because I'm so out of shape.

I've contacted FS about my ticker being off so I hope they fix it. I've lost another lb this week and it still says 181.
