If your having a hard time remembering to drink enough water, try some of these tips

Guidelines
Carry an insulated sports bottle with you and fill it up periodically; Keep a glass of water on your desk at work; Keep another glass next to your bed. Many of us wake up dehydrated first thing in the morning; Drink small amounts of water throughout the day. Six glasses all at once isn’t good for you; drink water before or after you use the restroom to replinsh your body; drink a glass of water before and after you exercise. Consider this a success if you used any of these tips or figured out a way to help you remember in another way.

Drink a glass of water before excessive snacking

Guidelines
It’s also very difficult for the body to tell the difference between hunger and thirst. So if you’re walking around feeling a gnawing sense of hunger, you might just be dehydrated. Try drinking a glass of water instead of grabbing a snack. Consider this a success even if you didn't have any hunger cravings beyond your normal snacks as long as when you had a craving for a snack you first drank water to allow time to know if you were hungry or thirsty.

Research has also shown that drinking a glass of water right before a meal helps you to feel more full and eat less. “Many people do find that if they have water before a meal, it’s easier to eat more carefully.” It's hard to remember to do this at each meal if you are not used to doing this. Consider this a success if you are remembering at least half of the time.

If you don't like plain water, try these variations

Guidelines
Freeze pieces of lemon or lime and add them to your water; add slices of fresh cucumber, lemon, or limes (or other low-sugar fresh fruit or veggie) to your water. Try to limit adding artificial sweetners to your water for the duration of this challenge. Consider this a success if you did not need to add anything to your water, if you used any of the variations, or if you added artificial sweetner to to less than a quater of your water consumption.
