Mauritalorei's 3 cups of green tea per day, for a week Wall
A place to provide support and encouragement...

Already drank my 3 cups of green tea for the 2nd day in a row in addition to my usual Mother's Milk Tea (herbal) :-)

5am but wide awake AGAIN and very annoyed by this because going from years of no caffeine to 3 cups of tea daily wreaked havoc on my life; my breastfed 1yr old son stopped napping and even despite being excessively exhausted by evening, he would not stay asleep and was very upset by this each time he woke up. This week has been like having a newborn all over again but with none of the joy when he would wake me every other hour and usually more frequently; sitting straight up, trying to get out of bed and SCREAMING until I would wake and nurse him back to sleep except that of course I was used to him sleeping through the night since he was 4 months old except maybe for one feeding in the middle of the night IF thirsty so my body is not used to having to nurse so frequently and for so long each time anymore (hello, painful sore nipples) especially when he has enough sharp teeth to bite the heck out of me when venting HIS frustration for being awake and also for not stating enough milk. GRRR, ladies this is WHY pediatricians recommend limiting or cutting out caffeine as long as you are nursing. So close to the end of this challenge but fed up with being sleep-deprived each night all week AND the added bonus of dealing with both a moody 1 yr-old all day and nipples screaming bloody murder. UGH! Sorry but the added metabolism boost can wait until after my son has been fully weaned off nursing so he can sleep his needed 10 hrs nightly plus his 2 naps and I need my 8 hrs of sleep (which also boosts metabolism by the way) and the extra "free" time while he sleeps/naps to actually get things done without constant interruptions or stress as he is incredibly mobile and curious= baby that defies child-proofing!! We don't have anyone else to watch him; we have a no babysitter nor nanny rule until he starts school and I can resume work, no nearby relatives or available friends, he does not go to daycare and after early starts and long days at work, hubby needs his sleep when he's home. SIGH! I am seriously reconsidering the no babysitter rule as I am frazzled from not getting much done and being sleep-deprived. It also makes it infinitely easier to wean him off nursing when there is someone else caring for him even if it is for a couple hours a day during the weekends when hubby has more time & energy or when we travel out of state to visit his Grandma because when it is someone else tucking him in for a nap or sleep, he is willing to drink milk or water out of a cup but not so much when I'm the one which is 99% of the time :-/
