So...I'm definitely at a plateau and have been for over a month and I am starting to give up...I'll always be overweight...My body just wants to be :( But I dont
189.0 lb Lost so far: 46.0 lb.    Still to go: 39.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 2.0 lb a week

Sarah dont give up, keep going.Just think of all the nice clothes you can wear.......... be positive. You can eat everything but in moderation.

plateaus really suck and I know how you feel, but don't give up! You will get past this- you've already gone so far and achieved so much! Stay strong and positive!!

Don't you dare give up! You've come tooooo far to give up now! Plateau's are the worst. They mess w/ your head. (even more than your body) You are a beautiful, intelligent and capable young woman! YOU GOT THIS...just don't give up!!!!!!!!

DONT DO THIS GIRL!!! I'll have to admit I got jealous of you when I hit my plateau (which I'm currently still in) and you were losing mad weight and it is discouraging. I still deal with the feeling. I'm just now trying to step my game up. I'm trying to weight train with one of my co-workers and add more cardio to my routine. At the very least, it makes me feel better and stronger. Keep at it girl, you got this! Re-vamp. Your body is probably used to what you're doing at this point. Stay strong! We're all here for u :)

You've inspired so many people, including me! You can't give up now, your journeys not over yet. Set backs happen, but if you would have given up before you wouldn't be where you are now, and you come a lONG ways! Chin up Sarah, you can do this, you already have!

Don't let it get you down! You are amazing and we all know can do it :) I remember hitting a plateau in the 180's.. someone suggested switching up my breakfast, like if your not used to eating a ton of protien for breakfast, do that for a few days.. it actually worked!

I agree with paulanater. Switch it up! And don't give up! You know that you can do this! You know it! I know it! FS knows it! Switch it up a little or a lot...but don't quit!

Just think about it this way - what will you do once you get all stinking skinny? Are you going to stop doing what you've been doing? You'll keep up the work to stay the way you worked so hard to be. Same with plateau - just keep living actively and healthy, it's not about the scales, it's about the committed to live the way that's best for you and your body. There are A LOT of people who look up to you (including myself).

Wow...you are amazing!!!! Losing all that weight so far is completely AMAZING!!!! I hope to be where you are in the next few months...but just have to take each day at a time. You'll reach your goal but it's always the last few steps that always take the longest.

Sarah - What are you going to do? Give up completely and go back to 300 lbs? I don't think so! Even if you are at a plateau (and sometimes your body is making all sorts of changes during this) it is certainly much better than gaining. Stay true to your plan. Do what you know. You will move forward again soon. I know plateaus suck big time, but you just have to have patience to get through it. After my last stall, I lost 6 inches over my body. Have you taken your measurements lately? Remember that the scale is only one tiny little measurement of progress. Hang in there!

Hang in there Sarah, you are doing so great. Like everyone else is saying, maybe look back over your food journal and take assessment if and where you need to make changes, and possibly switch up your exercise routine. I have been fighting the same 5 lbs for at least the last 6 months and that is what I am having to do, step back and re-assess what I'm doing. You will get there...keep fighting!

You have done so absolutely wonderful and proved to all of us that losing weight is completely possible! I think you look great, and even if you didn't lose anymore weight, if you just stayed the size you are, you look awesome and should feel so proud of yourself! You are beautiful, and don't ever think different just because the scale isn't as low as you want it to be--the scale doesn't have eyes to see you!! The scale is just a number, what matters is how you feel!!

Everyone hits them eventually. You've done amazing so far. It's not a failure unless you give up, otherwise it's just a setback.

I've been plateauing for the last 3 weeks. I was at 238 for 2 weeks. I went down to 234 last week but now I can't move from that. I know how you feel. It's hard not to get discouraged. I was losing weight on diet alone but that is no longer working. Time to start exercising. We'll get through it. Just take one day at a time. Before I would have used a plateau as an excuse to go back to my old ways. NOT THIS TIME!!! I'll get through it....
