Your news encourages me - I'm awaiting test results for blood sugar and fully expecting bad news as I have been skating on the edge of diabetes for years. I want to try being REALLY compliant on low carb before going to meds. It's nice to see that it can work! Eyes often heal fast, even if you have to go to antibiotic eye drops. Sounds like you have a wise doctor to try the salt water flushing, but if you don't see improvement right away don't hesitate to get the medication.

My A1c came back into the normal range on keto, but I'm hoping for further improvement with time.

I’ve been 4 years off insulin and 3 1/2 off of all diabetic meds and about 2 off of all heart and cholesterol and BP meds with a modified keto. I eat more carbs, about 40 net carbs and 50-90 g protein so it works. I’ve had eye problems on and off, but that’s other problems, doesn’t relate to diabetes or diet. 🙇🏻‍♀️
