21 days on Keto. I got through two social events and two dates while keeping to the keto way of eating. I was disappointed with how I felt after having a single Jack and diet, so I don't think I will be drinking again any time soon. I still have a lot to learn.

I started listening to podcasts pertaining to keto. It is good to hear personal stories in combination with all of the lessons here on FS. More knowledge is good and helps keep me focused. I have noticed a lot of changes as I have been adapting to this new WOE. I am still struggling with working out and feeling like I have the energy to go as long as I used to go - I am sure it will happen eventually...

I am told at first, muscle glycogen levels will be lower and will deplete quickly since keto WOE doesn't supply glucose. After a while - 4 to 6 months - glycogen levels will return to pre-keto levels as the liver adapts to making it from protein.

For motivation, look up the movie, *Fat Chance*. It is about a man biking across Australia while doing keto. Also, my first look at keto started with Steve Phinney's April 14, 2011 post on the "Me and My Diabetes" website. He talks about how he bikes further and longer without carbs. Yes, I am an old cyclist. These stories thrill me.
