I think we all have a number in mind and often reach it. Years ago I dieted and reached 129. Was so happy, still have the picture of the weight on the scale and the drivers license showing that weight. But actually was able to maintain around 132-134 for 7 or 8 years and that was fine for me.

Thanks for the story. I long to reach my goal and one day I will be able to post the same thing. Keep up the good work.

I started at 206 and got down to 181, cut carbs, exercised and then just stopped losing! Got discouraged and ballooned back to 196, started watching what and how much I was eating and now am at 191. My goal is 150--

The struggle is real, especially when you are doing so darn good. I was 8 pounds from reaching my goal then we went on vacation. Congratulation on getting close to your goal. I currently have 10 pounds to go.

Thanks for the story I remind myself everyday to stay focused. For me at 260lbs last year and 184 today it's been nothing short of a miracle. The diabetes has been arrested and no pain from my spinal stenosis. Doc took me off my final medication last week!

yep the struggle is real AND it is very personal, in other words IT (struggle & all that goes with it) is unique to each of us. I have to keep my plan and goal in mind when a 'friend' will casually say, "oh you don't need to loose anymore", or "oh one won't hurt you, just taste it" or 'you look good at that weight'(when it is at the mid high of my wt). I just have to keep in mind that I am doing this for me not anyone else AND I know what weight I feel good at not someone else! BUT it is a constant battle!

You are right JMA312. It is a constant battle. I hated when I am told: 'Its Sunday, eat whatever you want. Only one day a week'. That one day a week for me means two weeks losing the 2 extra pounds.

Realized diet is a life long activity. Diet means total perception of food must be different. Food use to be fun. Food is poison. Must find something else for fun. Food is not you friend. Never done like a drug addict or alcoholic. Losing weight sucks.
