Yea! I am down another pound. I started following abs and exercising January 6, so it is exactly one month from today. I have lost 5 lbs. in the month. When I thought of a realistic goal to lose the weight, I figured about 5 lbs a month or so if I stuck with it. So this is a good start. Of course I would like to see the scale go down faster and my clothes fall off me, but it is steady progress. My next goal is to get under 150. I would really like to do this by next week. I have found myself getting a little lax with too many snacks here and there so I want to stick with the program as closely as possible. Jeff said this morning he can tell I am looking slimmer. I definately can see it in myself. The working out is making a huge difference. I would not feel as good and firming up if I wasn't doing the weights and cardio. The other night I dropped and was able to do 10 real push ups quickly. I love to feel strong and in control of my body. I have let food and a busy schedule (not taking time to exercise) control me for too long!
151.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 11.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Exercise does really make you feel so much better! Dang, pushups are hard aren't they! I used to be able to do 50 nonstop, now have worked up to 20 with quick "child's pose" break afer the first ten. It's tough getting that endurance back, but it is sure rewarding!

I thought I'd check on my "buddies" today, and I realized you and I are so much alike! I too lost 5 pounds in 1 month. Steady progress, but I feel great! Clothes are fitting better, I even had a few "victory" fittings. Wow, what 5 pounds can do. I feel that i have lost more inches than pounds but hopefull the weight will come off soon! My goal is also to be under 150 this week... I weigh in on an old metal scale were you scoot the weights over (what are they called?) and it's a huge jump for me to only have to move it to the 100 mark... (hope you know what i am talking about! LOL) congratulations... and here's to a few more off the scales! xo

Thanks for checking in. Yes, we are at the same point right now. I do know the scale you are talking about! I also weigh in at the Y when I am working out- full clothed and with shoes on I am 3 lbs. heavier there. On that scale when I first went, I actually hit 160. I about fell over. I have been in the mid 140's for a long time so you can imagine how frustrated I was with myself there!!! Now 1 month later, I am 154 on that scale (with everything on, shoes and all.) So another couple of weeks and I can move that weight thing back to the 100's instead of 150's. At home I do hope to see 149 by next week. Gotta stick with it though. Are you doing many weights? This will keep burning the calories. I have been and am seeing a big change.
