Slept through last night with only one disturbance, and that wasn't caused by pain, so I feel much more rested this morning.

I was really low in calories yesterday and the weather was hot and muggy so I treated myself to the ice cream that's been waiting in the freezer, and still came in well under RDI. No beer all week :) and day two successfully completed without bread.

A small loss this morning and under the magical 58 again. I feel I should be lower and I can tell my digestion is sluggish and I'm not as 'regular' as I should be, even though I think I eat loads of fruit and vegetables and drink lots of water.

Friday at last and a long-awaited day off tomorrow, although I'm going to spend it together with the cleaning lady getting our summer home ready for habitation, a task I don't much look forward to :( However, the end result is always lovely and hopefully we'll be moved over there by next weekend at the lastest and settled in for the summer.

Edit - btw, I can't believe that my very favourite vegetable, broad beans, are so high in calories! I've been waiting weeks for them to come into season and now I find I can't have a big plateful of them!
127.4 lb Lost so far: 9.3 lb.    Still to go: 1.8 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

summer home...that sounds lovely. You are right- the cleaning will be well worth it when you are enjoying and relaxing in the summer!

I'm going to recommend Metamucil. My GI doc encouraged me to increase my fiber a couple years ago. I put it off until my gut began to get really gripy a few months ago. This in spite of trying to just eat more fiber. I'm here to testify that stuff works! After about a week, maybe a little less, I felt like a new woman. And it really keeps down that bloated feeling. Just sayin'...
