Oh I either have allergies or I'm getting sick. I am so stuffy I can barely breathe. Weight is creeping up a bit, maybe b/c I haven't been exercising for 2 days. Ankle still giving me fits about trying to exercise. I'm getting ready to go put together the boys' easter baskets. Wish me luck! This is going to be tough. I'm tired, it's late and I love candy....

I've been thinking....you know about what else you can do to increase your metabolism a bit since you're unable to exercise a whole lot right now. Do you tolerate caffeine like green tea? if so you could brew yourself a food strong green tea (either loose leaf or a few tea bags)and preferably iced (when I do this I put it in one of those Tupperware juice containers so I can have it last for a few days) and then put it in a water bottle and drink it throughout the day...up until like 2-3pm or later if doesn't affect your sleep...that'll help increase your burn until your able to get back to your routine. The other thing I would suggest is that if you're spending more time at home...or being sedentary/resting that ankle then I would suggest lowering your caloric intake slightly...while implementing interventions to raise your metabolism some. I'm posting some info on the forum on the different things that can increase the metabolic burn. FEEL BETTER SOON.

I hope you had a nice Easter and made it through without too much candy. About the stuffiness, my son and I are waking up and sneezing like 10 times in a row-for us it's seasonal allergies. Colds usually take more of a toll on our bodies-tiredness. Maybe start with an allergy med and see what happens?

Green tea thru out the day is a good idea. I just recently got some decaf green tea and have been drinking it at night to calm down before bed. As far as the stuffiness goes, I have tried pretty much every allergy med out there. Benedryl makes me want to go pass out for 3 days (not good for a working mom) and decongestants make me look and feel like a meth junkie! :)
