I own the following accomplishments FOR JULY 2017:
-- weight loss (reduction of 18.5 lbs., from 231.5 to 213)!
-- reduction of hemoglobin A1c while cutting insulin by more than 50% and eliminating use of metformin!
~ 9.9% (ave. daily BS 237 mg/dL, 07/2015) - lifetime recorded high
~ 8.4% (ave. daily BS 194 mg/dL, 01/2017)
~ 5.8% (current 30-day ave. daily BS 120 mg/dL)
-- maintaining normal blood pressure levels while eliminating verapamil and cutting daily dose of lisinopril!
-- renewed commitment to exercise still possible despite my physical limitations!

MY GOALS FOR AUGUST 2017:
-- continued weight loss
-- meet Required Daily Intake based on a daily target of 1200-1500 calories by increasing protein and keeping 60 grams carbohydrate.

PROTEIN: increase grams/calories/percent of RDI
CARBOHYDRATE: decrease grams/calories/percent of RDI
FAT: decrease grams/calories/percent of RDI
216.5 lb Lost so far: 68.5 lb.    Still to go: 48.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
