Overnight cheats on chocolate that I shouldn't have brought home, but prospects for today are excellent!

My blood sugar is responding exceptionally well, so far, to the nine-week Global Weight Loss Program. It bans all refined carbohydrates, high-carb fruits and vegetables (like pineapple, carrot, potato, and avocado), artificial sweeteners except for Stevia and Truvia. The diet excludes breakfast (to take advantage of high metabolism in the morning) and includes two meals daily (lunch and dinner) each comprising 4 oz. lean meat, 4 oz. vegetables, 4 oz. fruit, and unlimited salad, celery, and cucumber. The program includes liquid drops containing amino acids, ketones, and herbs, but no hormones.

My daily average BS is now under 120 (down from 200) and I've reduced my dosages of Humalog and Levemir (short- and long-acting insulins, respectively).

I've lost 14 pounds in 14 days, to date. I weighed 285 at my highest in 2002, lost 75 pounds over a three-year period, and then hovered at 220-235 lbs. for years. I'm sick of carrying it around and looking frumpy, and my diabetes is out of control. I've never worried about aging but the excess weight ages me terribly! I've dodged serious complications of T2DM and want to keep that up, and I want a body that matches my unwrinkled young-looking face!

It's clear that I have to adopt this lifestyle to control my blood sugar, preserve what's left of my knees, slow the aging process, and reduce my weight, dependence on medications and risk of disease complications.
221.0 lb Lost so far: 64.0 lb.    Still to go: 53.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
