Staring over - AGAIN!

In August of 2011, I weighed 183 pounds. Five years prior to that, I weighed somewhere in the 165 pound range. Here I am in 2017 - 260 pounds! When I look at my profile in the mirror, the image I see does not coincide with the image I have of myself inside my own head.

I have also been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and blood sugar levels that make me a border line diabetic - so it is time to take some action!

Having been down this road many times - having lost up to 50 pounds more than twice - i know there are many different routes one can take to lose weight - the only problem with those routes is the obvious question - are they maintainable?

I know I cannot lose the weight overnight - I know it is going to take time. I technically started some changes about 3-4 weeks ago. I have eliminated artificial sweeteners - I have started taking Metaformin 500mg after every meal (it has helped reduce appetite) - I am trying to eliminate as much gluten as possible, and trying to focus on eating 3 meals a day, and cutting as many processed foods as possible.

The one thing I really have to change is portion sizes and try to limit how much I eat - one day at a time. I am also pledging to weigh in once a week and will journal my week.
260.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 95.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.
