Really I haven't gained any weight. Last time I weighed it was this number but I just couldn't bring myself to log it. But it is what it is. Haven't really been eating bad. Just have added regular soda, bread, and pasta. I hope I can keep in the 90's.
196.8 lb Lost so far: 37.2 lb.    Still to go: 61.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.4 lb a week

I would get rid of the soda. Not a good thing for anyone.

See my problem is that I can just get rid of soda. I can try and I can move to the diet but actually taking it all away is like taking cigarettes from a smoker.

I'm taking a break from healthy eating and trying to eat up what we have in the house as we are currently underwater with bills. We can't keep up and we are both, my husband and I, are having to get another job. So that'll be my full time job, his full time job, and each of us working a part time job. Just to make ends meet.

I understand having to work with a constrained budget. fortunately I hate the taste of sugared sodas and only have diet if I have it at all. It might be a good experiment to track how these foods affect you. not just weight but energy levels and any bloating. When I'm cost controlled I end up eating lots of bean meals. chili is not bad, even meatless, beans have good protein. Then eggs, I try to use one whole and the rest just whites for an omelet. Frozen fruits and veggies are often most addordable and they have good nutrition even if not fresh. I sometimes but family sized fish portion( though I live alone) there a good value. they also cook up fast ! hang in there. I hope things come together smoothly for you and your husband. * hugs

There have been times I've lived on lentils and boiled wheat I'd sprouted, and made soup from chicken backs. Feel free to message me for further things that worked. It's hard; for a while I just gave up, and ballooned, then didn't have mental energy to try even once finances were less tied up. You'll figure out what's best for you right now, and there's lots of moral support and practical ideas.

So sorry that you both have to work 2 jobs, been there. Soda is expensive non food. For one person my food budget is around $30.00 a week or less. It doesn't leave any room for expensive junk foods. I do understand using up what you have, I try to do that as well. I rarely eat meat and most of my proteins are legumes, whole grains, and eggs, add in fresh veggies and fruits (frozen options are also good as are canned tomatoes)-- essentially matching what 859klm & T8U9 said
