I was really afraid of weighing in this morning & my fears were proven to be right. Not a single pound lost!! 2lbs since last Mon but nothing since my weigh in on Wed or since I've started working out. This plateau is gonna drive me nuts!! I'm going to have to do something drastic like a detox or something b/c I will not wait around for months to get passed this. This is so annoying & discouraging!! I had to push myself to eat yesterday b/c I wasn't very hungry, esp toward the end of the day. I'm not willing to lose the weight b/c I'm starving myself. That's ridiculous. Well if this isn't the mind fuck of the week then I don't know what is ; ( I'm going back to bed.
246.0 lb Lost so far: 6.4 lb.    Still to go: 106.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

If you just started working out, your muscles will retain water (they get little tears and water replaces to help them heal). It can show up on the scale as a gain or no loss. Have you noticed your clothes fitting differently. Weight loss is cumulative. It is what you do over time that counts. Drink some extra water. change up your exercise duration or intensity. The scale will move again. You are doing great. You can also try zig zagging calories with high and low days to jump start your metabolism.

Don't be so hard on yourself! I've had weeks where I did everything right and had no weight loss...but it doesn't mean that it's not working. Make sure you're getting enough calories everyday and most importantly, HANG IN THERE. Mixing up your routine can be a big help. If you haven't already, try entering your information in WebMd's Food & Fitness Planner. It will not only give you your RDI but tell you what percentages of fat, carbs and protein to consume. Maybe a change will help. Good luck!!!

I know. It's just hard knowing you're going to be right about something you'd like to be wrong about. I do have to look at the bright side that at least I lost 2lbs in a week. Better than nothing, although it kind of feels that way. I'll just have to step up working out, no days off, alternate high & low calorie days (the low being 1000-1200 cals & high being 1200-1400 cals) & no more trying, but forcing down 120oz of water/day. It's just frustrating b/c I knew this was going to happen & I don't know how long it's going to last which is the really annoying part. There really wasn't anything I could do to prepare myself anymore than I already have. But I'm just gonna have to keep pushing. It has given me a more positive attitude which is something I haven't had in the 7 months of grief & depression I've dealt with. So part of me feels like I don't even have a choice to give up b/c I can't go back to that. ; )
