Another pound gone this morning. 7 lbs in 4 days. Today I mainly eat beef & chicken, cabbage & tomato soup. Still can only drink water. After my seven days are done I think I'll have pancakes, made with Bob's Red Mill Paleo flour, bacon, Bulletproof coffee, & a cup of reg. coffee.

Still losing? On a special program it seems. Great maintenance!

Didn't lose much today, about half a pound. The program say's most people lose between 10 & 13 lbs in 7 days. I think that's true for younger folks who exercise more. but I'll take the 7 so far. Still have one more day. It's called the GM Diet, gives you a big jump start if you're just beginning or hit a plateau.

That's all well and good. But if you in it for the long haul slow and steady. That rapid weight loss is also a lot of water and can be regained as quickly as it was lost. I'll get formally acquainted with your diet so I can be truly supportive.😊 👍On 7lbs.

I fully agree with you Paulanavarette. I tried it only as a jumpstart to get the scale moving. If I can end up 3 lbs down I'll consider that good. Best way I've ever lost weight was the old atkin's diet from the early '70's. Basically no carbs. Boiled egg's for breakfast, salad for dinner, meat & cooked greens for supper. Everyday, do that & you will lose weight quickly. A couple years ago I was 340, went to low carb lifestyle & now at 179. Not really trying to lose weight now, just staying on lowcarb as a lifestyle.

Yes, you're right about the Atkin's diet. I've read over and over again that the diet has the best proven track record for long term results. Even if you get bored and have a day with carbs it's not like you've blown the whole thing. You simply get back on the 'wagon' and continue with your dietary lifestyle. Did you gain so you just wanted to quickly lose it? Anyway, you've plenty of experience. I totally get that quick start diet. It is low protein though? How's that fit with 'Atkin's'? Rattling your cage only out of interest nothing more. On Atkins what is your maintenance protein? I'm going to read up. I remember the book. 20 yrs. ago. Lol 😂. Still going strong though.

I've gotten to my desired weight. But I'm the type of person that if I go to an event & have a slice of pie that weigh's 4 oz's, I'm apt to gain 2 or 3 lbs. Hard to believe but true. Low Carb has changed a lot over the years & I do find myself trying some new recipes. I ate a pizza yesterday where the crust is made of cheese, & sauce on top with pepperoni. Fried in a pan, takes about 5 minutes, & pretty good. Back on the LC Lifestyle now. Still 7 lbs down, but will probably gain some back. I try some quick loss diets sometimes for 3 to 7 days just to see if they work. The last part of GM Diet you get a fair amount of protein. Today I've had an Atkins Shake & a Bulletproof coffee.
