How was your walk?

The walk was from Chipping Norton to Woodstock in the Gyme valley, 17 miles - It was very wet for two hours -We were following a printed route but got lost as it was not well marked. Still fun. I used my waterproof walking trousers for the first time - very good, but i will need to invest in a new waterproof top before winter sets in. The walk was not circular it involved a lot of faffing around with cars at the end -Not ideal. Bird wise of note we spotted a sparrow hawk and a yellowhammer

Nice! I've found an app called iFootpath which has loads of walks available all over the country. I haven't had chance to do any yet (I'm a fair weather poddler rather than a walker) but the routes look to be clearly explained with photos too

I have IFootpath but never managed to walk a route on it yet - I should try harder
