Good morning!

I slept like a ROCK last night! I know, because not only do I feel awesome, but when I told Wife, she said "I KNOW! You kept me awake all night snoring so loud I though you were gonna tear the house apart!". :)

I really slept good. It's nice.

Weight? It's still CRAZY high after Indulgence Day, 80.4 kgs, but that's okay. It's down 600 grams since yesterday, and many Mondays I see a gain instead of a loss. It'll come down more.

I have two weeks left before my pre-op assessment. I'm so excited to do this, but I really REALLY want to be at <77 kgs on that day. It would mean a lot to me. Trouble is, of course, that this is today 3.5 kgs away. I'm not saying it's impossible, as most of the weight is fluctuation, but I really need to focus and do right to accomplish this.

My main concern the next weeks will have to be doing this pretty serious and do as good as I possibly can. I have a few days with challenges, but I know I can pull it off if I'm in the right mindset, and if I get a little support here and there.

Regular workdays won't really be a problem. I got that whole thing down to a science. It's they "off schedule" days that are dangerous, and those I need to pay full attention to. I have a few coming up:

This coming Friday, La Familia are going to Copenhagen to do some paper work. It's gonna be a nice day out, and it's gonna be a day where I don't have too much of a say-so when it comes to the foods we're eating. I'll simply have to make wise choices early in the day and avoid snacks that will "clutter" my food diary. I've done it before, and I can do it again. The trick for me on days like this is to keep my eye on the ball all the time. I plan to simply have a light breakfast - though heavy enough to keep me full for some hours - and bring lunch. That way I know exactly how many calories are in those two meals. Dinner that night will be at my nephew's place. He and his girlfriend are vegetarians, and I have NO idea what they're gonna be wanting to eat. We'll see. I'll simply have to assess on the day, and make sure to have plenty of wiggle room. My (limited) experience with vegetarian foods is that just because it doesn't have meat doesn't necessarily make it low on calories.

Saturday, the day after, I am going BBQing with good friends. I actually would prefer to NOT do an Indulgence Day this day, as I am getting so close to my goal day. I don't want to push the weight up and then have to fight it down for a whole week. I think the solution here will be a light breakfast, and maybe a home made chicken salad for lunch. It will fill me up and make me ready for dinner without too much cost on the calories. It sucks a little, as this is a BBQ that we arranged MONTHS ago. The gang I'm going with are all kind of tough to get together all at once (and there's only three of us!), so it's not a day I can move to after the pre-up assessment. I'll simply have to do good.

Saturday before the assessment is a no-brainer. Indulgence Day is off. Period. This would be two days before and it would simply destroy my weigh-in. It's better to not go there at all. If anything, I'll be out on the town that day and I can take Wife out for a nice dinner AFTER the doctor weigh-in. :) As soon as I get on that scale I don't really care what I weigh for a few days.

...

This weekend was great. Total relaxation, and not a whole lot going on. I loved it. Wife and I basically watched movies and shows, and went out for a few things - shopping for the week, flea market etc.

I found an old hippie vinyl LP from back when I was a kid. Nowhere mint condition, but a fun memory. I want to put it in a frame and hang it. It's pretty cool. The album is not THAT amazing, but it's a time peace that I really like. AND it's a fun photo. What really is interesting is the back side of it, where you see a snapshot of a bunch of hippies at a lake. People are naked, some a bathing, some are cooking, some are playing. It's just a great picture, but something that you'd never see on an album cover today. Gotta love those Seventies!

So, tonight for us is the season final of The Walking Dead! I can't wait to see it! It was out a few hours ago in the US, it's already sitting here for us to watch, and it's just a matter of us all coming home tonight, have dinner and then it's ON!

LOL, we have a guest over tonight, and he's been instructed that this WILL be included in tonight's events - like it or not. :) The girls will get mad if they don't get their Walking Dead fix.

...

Today (and Tuesday and Wednesday) is prep day at work. I have no interviews until Thursday! I have basically cleared my calender for three days to organize. I want to see what I have going on, know every detail of my cases (within reason), and see how their time line is in regards to potential surgery dates. I have cases that expire every months, and when they do they generate a lot of paper work for me. It can easily take a full day or two to finish up a case. So, it's important for me to know this in advance - especially if I'm gonna be out of work for several weeks after surgery. I don't want to come back to a complete mess, and I don't want to stress over it while I'm out.

I think I could mentally benefit from a few weeks away from work - and I think I will use the surgery for this also. Simply recover both physically and mentally, and really be back in the groove when it's time to go back. I would love this. Sometimes I feel that I simply just need a vacation.

After this week, I should know what cases are urgent, what can wait a little bit, what I need to do to prevent new cases from becoming old cases, and all that jazz. It will give me some comfort, and some focus points, which I feel that I lack right now. I'm sure this will help me sleep, and help me focus.

Today and the rest of the week I will be going to work an hour early. I want to save up a little extra comp time for my days off Friday and the 2nd of April. I have vacation time that I need to spend, but I kinda like to pay for it with comp time. My vacation time HAS to be spent before April 30th, so by saving up comp time but "wasting" my vacation time, I can transfer it to later on. It's nice to have a little comp time on the account, and be able to take a day off when I want to.

Today I am thankful for:
- A GREAT GREAT night's sleep.
- Wife being so damn sweet and supportive.
- A great weekend! Very relaxed and just what I needed.
- My friend visiting tonight
- THE WALKING DEAD! :)

I hope your week will be just as amazing as mine. Mine WILL be amazing! Life is good!

How much weight do you expect to come off with the surgery?

Cthulhu - I really don't know. Some people say around 2 lbs, some say to expect 7-8 kgs. I don't really have a good idea about how much is realistic. I'm guessing around 3 kgs (6 lbs), but I could be WAY off on this.

Glad you had a good nights sleep (not sure if your wife thought the same LOL). It makes such a difference to how you feel an, of course, is good for you.

Your surgery seems to be coming up so fast. I'm excited to see how much you lose from it. I saw the first season of Walking Dead on Netflix a few months ago and I got hooked. I don't have cable so I won't be able to see this season until it comes out on DVD. My youngest actually started watching it and I just happened to come in on the 3rd episode and couldn't stop watching. Enjoy your week.

You can do it King! I know your faced with much excitement and anxiety too, so follow the straight and narrow road of what you know worked! I imagine the amount of weight that is lost depends on the loose skin. I did a Google and saw a fellow with a LOT of loose skin. I dont think your in the same boat as him. It is sort of exciting though!

You dont have to be faster than a Zombie, you only have to be faster than the guy next to you!
