Thinking about joining the Gym. My local state Park has a Fitness trail with a few Pieces of Equipment to work out on, but the heat has begun to deter me from going. I went Friday and thought I was going to die of heat stroke, lol. And yes, I'm only going early in the morning, or later in the Afternoon. But the Humidity is Horrendous at any time of day now 😩. It's only 35 dollars a Month for the whole family. I mean that's only like one trip out to eat with my family. The catch is you have to sign up for a year. But I know That this is a lifestyle change, so in a year, I will still be working out and eating healthy, so, I should do it! My only hesitance is we just don't need another bill. I mean, 35 dollars isn't a lot to some people, but we are just so tight at the moment. I don't want to tell my kids no they can't have something just because I need to go to the gym. Why can't I just have a million dollars and an awesome Metabolism?? Huh?? Is that to much to ask? Lol
282.2 lb Lost so far: 37.8 lb.    Still to go: 162.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Would your gym let you try it for a month before signing on the dotted line for a full year's commitment? Would your entire family enjoy using the gym? Lots of gyms have programs for the entire family...Mine offers programs free once you sign up for the month/year. Don't know how old you are but my health insurance plan offers the silver sneakers as a part of their wellness program. Just some ideas.

I went and talked to the Manager, for 35 dollars a month My whole Family can go to the gym! Also, there are at least 4-5 classes that I can take each week that is included in the membership! I just couldn't pass it up! They do have Silver Sneakers at this gym but I'm still young for that class 😊 Although it would probably be more my speed right this second..lol My son (He's 16) works out and lifts weights at his school but now he will be able to do it here also. (We live like 25 minutes away from our school but only 5 minutes away from this gym!) So my son is excited! And my daughter is excited because she is entering Jr.High this year and wants to get in shape. (Yea, my daughter ran 4 miles last night in the time it took me to walk a mile and a half...lol I don't call that out of shape, but what ever. She's only 13 and tiny...lol) And I would love for my Husband to go with us, because his health is not good but I can't seem to get him very interested. But I'm praying that he will see me losing weight and feeling better and maybe be inspired to join in. Anyway, spent about 3 hours in the gym last night with the kids, and we had a blast! All ready loving my decision to join! 😊💪🏃🚴

Wonderful!!! Glad the kids were excited. Our little fitness center doesn't have a pool but it does offer an array of classes and lots of really state of the art equipment. Since it is part of our hospital district it too is very inexpensive and we seniors even get additional perks. Enjoy your new family recreational center:)

Oh, I wish they had a pool! But no, the pool is on the other side of the town. The fitness instructor actual does Water Aerobics at the pool though. I have been going to it for a couple of weeks. But it's only 3.00 a class 😊 She is the one that suggested me joining the gym to help me 😊

Sometimes the county or city recreation commission has a 'fitness center' in a community center...weights, treadmills, elipticals, etc...at a reasonable rate. Like $50 annual or $15 per month. The one I used to belong to also had classes, a pool, a lazy river, tennis courts, etc.

Try the YMCA. They have reduced fees for people in need. Maybe even waiver. Worth checking out.
