Hello Lovelies :)

I didn't quite stick to plan yesterday, I ate 100 calories more than the 1300 I decided to stick to. As I'm in Darth Vader mode (imagine the wheeze + a delightful dry cough and you can hear me breathing from Antarctica) a little more food is probably needed to fight off infection.

A little friend of mine decided to visit, TOM. After six and a half weeks absence he decides to show his sorry face, way to go at making a girl feel every more sick. Typical. I had a loss today, I was expecting a stand still as TOM loves to bloat me up.

Been having a few arguments a certain three of my friends lately. They think I'm obsessed with my diet and live on what they call 'medicine'. Medicine meaning my vitamins which consists of flax seed oil, spirulina, multi + selinium, slim plus and iron tablets. At first I took it with a light heart but now I'm just plain fed up.

They continue to tease me that I don't eat. Contrary to belief, I do eat if I didn't I think I'd be a lot thinner than I am now if I didn't eat. I've sat them down a few times and told them that this is my choice and that I am not harming nor starving myself so I would appreciate their support. But it still continues, I told the 3 friends concerned that if they continue the way they do, I don't want anything to do with them.

Lots of study to do today, at home it'll have to be as I'm still crappy looking lol. Managed to read all my readings up until next week so now all I have to sort out is a bit of summation.

Stay Fabulous!

Oh! It's March 12th here in New Zealand (7am) its GMT +12 I think, don't quote me on those numbers though. So the days are a tad different :). Yup TOM's a right rebel alright especially in the tummy area haha.

Don't let your friends get to you...they just don't understand that to lose and maintain your weight you need to closely monitor what you're eating. Its like school, you can't expect to get A's if you're not studying and doing the assignments. You can't just sit there oblivious and expect to accomplish your goals. I think you're doing a great job :) Keep it up!

Gotta tell you that I feel your pain...i have a friend that's trying to lose weight too and yet she still comments on my tactics...i keep trying to tell her "we have different goals, different motivations and different strategies"...I know i'm being healthy in my quest so I don't really care...through the last 5 years of my life i have become amazingly efficient at blocking people and their nonsense out :) let me know if you need help doing this, i have some strategies, lol

I'm sure you realize that return of dear old friend TOM is a good news, though it may not feel like it at the moment because he picked a hell of a time to come back in town. It does, however, mean that you're getting healthier and your body is resuming its normal activities. So, congrats on that! As far as your friends go, well, that's a tough one. It happens sometimes, when someone is trying to get healthy, people around them perceive it as a criticism of their own lifestyle. Sort of, "so, you think you're better than us now?" mentality. It sucks, but if they are good friends, just keep talking to them and try to explain that your choices have nothing to do with theirs. If they want to gobble up a super sized order of French fries in front of you, they are welcome to it. I have learned it a hard way - people don't like it when you tell them what to do! So when I'm eating healthy and people around me aren't, I never say anything negative, it makes them feel better and keeps peace in our relationships. Keep up the good work, dahling!

Hearing your 'friend dilemma' sounds like the ol' broken record w/ some of MY friends :) It DOES get OLD trying to reassure them constantly-esp if you are doing it healthy...I just decided that that topic was off limits while STILL doing 'my thing' -if they can understand then we could be adult and open to talk about it.. if not--well, I guess I demoted them down to more like an aquantance level... good luck :)

Major broken record! I had the same issue, with close friends! After a while they see the effects and how much better you look and feel. Real friends love it and embrace it....fakies dont! I was branded 'boring' for not wanting to eat at a chinese buffet during the summer! It'll get better! And how weird im still living 11th March! Hope the future is bright! :D

I am happy but not about TOM's arrival. Only not so much due to the timing. I will not budge on this topic with my friends', I can talk till I'm blue in the face, but regardless of whether they like it or not. My new way of eating is here to stay. ♥

If you are getting healthy that is what matters. My mom is the one who I have argued with some. I mentioned what I would like to be on my birthday and she said why so soon. Take a year to get there. Its only 7lbs in 3 weeks. Not a huge unhealthy goal. I just try and ingnor her and try to not bring it up. Where in NZ are you? I have been there and love it, I want to go back asap.

I congratulate you on your desire to stay true to your plan of healthy eating. Friends...true friends....may not understand everything about your decisions at first, but will love you and respect your decisions all along. I think you are doing great!

My Mum is really supportive, she often blames herself for passing on her unhealthy relationship with food. I study in Dunedin, But originally from the North Island, that's where I grew up, anyway. Good luck with your birthday goal. I have a birthday goal too! :)
