John10251's Journal, 21 April 2017

Yesterday was my Wife's birthday. We had a wonderful day. We drove to the beach and I munched on snacks the whole drive. We walked on the beach and decided to get some soft ice cream. The cashier got my order wrong and I ended up with two cones for myself. I didn't resist temptation and devoured both cones. Then we drove to dinner at a seafood restaurant on the bay. The food was great and because it was her birthday, we got free dessert. I have been out of the Blue most of this week. It's not where I want to be but I'm actually only a pound and a half over my goal weight. It's time to get busy...

It is called earned desserts. You've got this. In four weeks I only ate any desserts on Easter, and I ate my fill, and then some. I wasn't worried because I knew it was "a" day, not a slip back to the old ways, that bring quilt, and discouragement when you see the numbers rise. The ones who concern me or those who do it every third day for the past 3 years still crying the blues. I originally was shooting for an 8 week of strictly clean diet as I reach to get my BF to 10% or below. I have my doubts, but will post pics in a few week to allow my critics to be the judge.

As hard as you work on eating right, you're entitled to days of enjoyment with your darling wife.
