mskestrela's Journal, 06 April 2017

Whew, what a day! Not only was work crazy busy, but people were hyper. There were storms brewing, but thankfully, the rain held off until I got home. My last client of the day broke my heart. After 50 years of marriage, her husband decided he didn't want to be married to her any longer, and just up and left. I knew things had been rocky for a while (he suffers from depression), but geez...50 years! Now he has a 'girlfriend', and my poor client is distraught. I let her vent, and handed her tissues. I think the glass of wine I gave her while she was under the dryer helped a little. People just baffle me, sometimes.
Needless to say, I was exhausted by the time I got home, but I forced myself to stay up until 10 PM, because I didn't want to be up at 1 again. Fortunately, I got 7 solid hours of sleep.
I'm off work today, so my goal is to clear out a little closet/pantry in the kitchen and reorganize it, as well as changing sheets and towels. If I have time and energy, I may do another video.
I hope you all have a great day!

Now that's a better nights sleep Kes. I enjoy doing a spring clean especially when it's raining or cold outside. I like the idea if your Pantry. Other people's pantries are very interesting places 😘 My grandmother had a big pantry as a child I spent happy hours in there searching for ingredients to my new recipes. I lived with her and she allowed me that freedom of cooking anything. I wanted x

I loved our senior school pantry. I always offered to "tidy it up" and would stash all kinds of nuts in my pinafore for later. Oh my - that makes me a thief 😳. Sorry school! My cookery lessons did instill in me a huge love of cooking, however, and my family have always appreciated my skills 😊. Anyway, Kes, yes, it's crazy that people would want to leave their partners after 50 years of marriage. I don't understand it at all. Looking forward to your next video 🙂

You are such a blessing...listening to others and having empathy. My heart breaks for the lady...and I will utter a prayer her way. On my list of things to do today was organize my pantry and cupboards...since I haven't started yet, I believe they will be on the list tomorrow:)

My sister's husband took off with a younger woman after 39 years of marriage. It was so devastating for her, and the rest of the family because we all loved him and were so shocked that he had been leading a double life. People never cease to amaze...sometimes in a good way, and other times not.
