Hmm, the question becomes is it really a "love" of food itself? As hominids that evolved where the constant search for food was an ongoing preoccupation our brains are hard wired to be fuel-centric. I always ask myself exactly what "foods" am I "loving?" Apples, oatmeal, broccoli? Usually the answer lies in highly processed, addictive substances that pass for food-like chips, dairy products, sugar, etc. These "foods" are designed to hook us and keep us buying more. It's no surprise that the tobacco industry owns many "food" brands, like Keebler and Nabisco. I have been doing the Bright Line Eating program since it has a 12 step approach to food addiction. Not only am I down 38 lbs since November but I don't hear the call of most of those foods anymore. You may want to check out the site for more about the brain science behind their program. It truly is a support group. :-) www.brightlineeating.com All the best to you Kitty-eared-girl.
