Always so happy to see Sunday's roll around! Why is that... well for one, today is my only day to do what I want! My husband is so good to me, and for a long time now - he has made it a point to give me some 'me' time back, by being the one to stay home w/ Mom... or take me out.. or whatever it is I need on that particular time.

Today is go to church day.. Love doing that! We have a very active and particularly engaging Worship time.. and I love music, love love love Worship - if you've never totally enjoyed that about church...I recommend you keep looking for a church with a more contemporary style. It's awesome!

I will be going to the gym for a pre-SuperBowl Workout!!! this afternoon.

Planning on making Taco Salads w/out the shells for the game (well, at least for hubby and I). Everyone else can have them too..but they tend to want the chips or burrito shells etc, and I don't have any in the house, and don't plan on buying them.

I will be making some homemade buffalo wings (mayo, no sugar added ketchup and hot sauce) baked in the oven.

And some celery w/ cream cheese for snackers.

Never a dull moment around here.. so hubby has been working on replacing the ceiling in our entry way.. (for the last 6 months! lol!)

Yesterday he decided to replace the old knob and tube wiring (which should have been done generations ago!) And basically shut down the power to the entire house by accident. It took all day, and all night to get one wire found to figure out which connection would put it all back on!!! What a day!

Weight is trending back in the right direction again. Not sure about the lastest blip...but thinking it might just have been an off day and water related.

This week's plan is to be down another pound by next weekend. Protein, Salads, Veggies, an occasional apple w/ almond butter - that's pretty much my daily menu's. No overeating! Which has felt good. No real changes one way or the other... but I am happy to at least see it coming back in the right direction. Now to keep it going down! Isn't that the challenge of the century!!! (huh?Stef!)

Must say, I am so particularly proud of you Stef - you're willingness to stick with this, adapt, make changes, do what you have to do to make a start again, over and over.. it's hard. Hard to keep up the willingness, the motivation, the commitment... Sometimes, you just have to be committed to your commitments!

Very proud of you! Happy for you too!!! I'm happy for everyone's losses.. really I am.. but if you don't know Stef or her story.. well, check it out! She's a powerhouse!

Happy Sunday... and GO PATRIOTS!!!
Much Love.

Paula, thanks...coming from you, I take that as a true compliment. As you know, the other option, is not an option! I am committed...or is that "should be committed"??? lol Have fun, enjoy your Super Bowl snacks and, of course, the game! Love ya! Hugs!

Glad to read that you have had some success with your new plan....your commitment is commendable and success should be yours. Also happy to hear that you are having a "me" day...looking forward to reading your journals this next week....often carries me through. Hugs!

Stef I would love to one day get together in our size 'who cares' skinny jeans!!! and do the happy dance! By then the 'skinny jean' crazy will be over and maybe miniskirts will be back in! I always loved those!!! Just teasing.. but sure would still love to plan some kind of a national 'gettogether' - just so happens you're right smack in the middle of the country! Perhaps your backyard would work!!! Much love.

My back yard is really large...there is enough room for tents! We could have a gathering like Girl Scout camp. But no mini skirt for me...mine are the below the knee variety. As for "skinny jeans"...have to get skinny before I can wear those! lol

Paula you are doing great w/your Superbowl food. Besides doing a Bible study class for a while I finally made it back to church. It was beautiful and peaceful. I am recommitting myself to Atkins and my life to God. I gave up. my much beloved diet Dr. Peppers for God and I'm going to start volunteering at a local charity resale store. Trying to be a better me one step at a time. Hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl.

Great menu for the superbowl. So great that hubby gives you your time. It show how true you are that you use that time to worship. How humble.
