Good news I enjoyed my allocated three pints of cooking beer and managed to stop without fuss - I ended the day on 1506 cals and just 45g total carbs for the day. My average food stats for the month are still on track - I record everything and I am finding foods that I really enjoy. My weight has dropped 0.7kg but I think my imbibed alcohol has some diuretic effect, I'm hoping there won't be too much bounce back tomorrow. I really have surprised myself I honestly did not think I had the will power to stick to a diet.

Today is another test a prolonged visit (10.30 -18.00) to a house in Northampton - Usually tables laden with food type event to meet some old mates. Normally I stuff my face but I will try not to because end of play tomorrow marks six weeks along in my program here on FS.

It is important to take a break from dieting. It is more important to see friends and old mates. Have a great time. Remember your goal but don't obsess. Your mates aren't interested in how much you weigh, but in you. Have a good one.

I had a great day meeting up with old friends here was masses of food on display especially puds and cakes. i resisted all the naughty things except a little game pie. Very happy with how it went. MaisieP really good point - The next time I socialise though I will try really hard to make my diet blend into the background better by wordsmithing my responses to offers of (carb loaded high calorie) food.
