Herbie's Journal, 02 December 2007

Oh dear. Well, I just got back in town after a week or so visiting my family for Thanksgiving and then a few days of fun in Vegas. Now, they say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but I think that some of what happened for me (like, too many gin and tonics and more desserts than necessary at the casino buffet) is coming home with me in the form of an extra pound or two.

I splurged, wasn't following the diet really, and am honestly surprised that my weight didn't go up by more! I mean, I sat down at the poker table and people just kept on bringing me drinks! That place is excessive. And despite giving you free drinks and cheap food, they charge $25 a day to use the exercise room. >:[

But, of course I had a great time. And I highly recommend seeing a Cirque du Soleil show if you can. Truly amazing stuff.

So, back on the wagon again. I'm going to be strict with my food for the next couple of weeks and back into exercising more regularly. Although I'm not so pleased with having a little weight gain, it's good to be back here at fatsecret with you all again. I'd thought I just wanted to maintain a steady weight over the holidays, but I think I'd like to lose this extra couple pounds before Christmas if I can. Wish me luck!

Hey, that is not bad at all considering where you were and the food available. Good for you!

small gain but the best thing is that you're right back on program again. Good for you. I think I've failed in the past by not getting back on track right away.

A few lbs isn't too bad, and if you had a good time it's ok. I hate always being super aware of what i can and can't eat, you have to have some days that are splurge ones! You'll get back on track soon!
