Cracked the 15 stone barrier. Great to see 14 on the scales again for the first time since I was 14 years old!

A family member joked that he thinks I might be bulimic. After years of torture for being overweight, they are now concerned that I'm going to lose too much! After everything I've done to shift the weight in a healthy way this year it felt like a real slap in the face. Sadly it made me want to eat. Need to focus on me and why I'm doing this. It's not for them, or because of them. It's for me. It's for my wife. It's for my children. The rest can run and jump.
209.0 lb Lost so far: 143.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.0 lb a week

well done you! Its hard to ignore friends and family who are not supportive in your journey.. I find this difficult too... but keep focused on who and what is important to you and don't worry about the others my motto for life is dont worry about things you cant change- this may help you to keep focused on yourself ( i find this hard every day too) you can do it!

Good loss and a great goal to reach. Well done. I have received similar reaction, in some quarters, to my drop.

Fantastic news, well done SDC. As for the nay-sayers - it's like when someone gives up smoking; their friends will be right behind them and supporting them then, when they see that that person is succeeding, one or two of them will try to undermine the effort because they don't want to be left behind and want their friend to still be in their 'club'. It's not a very charitable view but it does happen (being an ex smoker I can attest to this). The other view is that they are so unused to seeing you so slim that they cannot compute the difference between healthy and underweight - talk to them and explain what a healthy weight is for your height and build. Don't fret, don't give in to the negative, you have done amazingly well and your motives are pure. The end is within sight!

I can only agree with what the others say - ignore them as you know what's best. They're so used to seeing you as you were that they now can't see a healthier weight when it's staring them in the face. Well done on the milestone!

"Haters gonna hate." They probably just said it as a throwaway line and had no idea it would impact you that much. Clearly talking nonsense so ignore them and keep going until you reach you goal.
