170207 morning journal notes:

So good morning self! The sunshine is blasting through the windows! Very soon, I will be outside working in the glorious Florida weather. Mmmmmm!

I find it interesting that after two straight days of notable caloric deficit, and exercise,my weight has stayed stable. I suspect the confounding factors to be: an increase in salt consumption, increased meat consumption coupled with decreased plant-based meal consumption, and (possible)decreased sleep quality, with a cause attributable to my overall increase in mental/psychological stress, which, might be affecting my metabolic hormonal stasis pathways.

My working hypothesis is targeting the two straight days of meat consumption as the primary culprit. Maybe meat takes longer to digest compared to a tofu and whole vegetable diet?

So for now my course of action will be to reduce meat consumption/increase tofu and plant consumption (Cauliflower is on sale!), And work on relaxation and coping techniques. Can't hurt, might help!

Slept 9.5 hours last night; pretty restful state. Neurologist put me on an extra Keppra at night, so that will increase my fatigue and other symptoms for at least a week, just wonderful! Right…

Behavioral issues continue with my son back in LA. Meanwhile I am here in Florida working my ass off in order to get back to him, and trying hard to stay positive in primitive working and living conditions. I can't help but feel compelled to be in LA with my son, thinking that I could help him greatly, and his behavioral issues would be lessened if not absent. But oh well, My spouse is acting like a butt, preventing my return. It was suggested to me, yesterday, that the pressures of living the single parent life are likely to be building within my wife, and possibly she might start seeing that value I provide, as a coparent residing with our child, and the domestic support that I provide, (though I don't think she will realize the financial support my pittance of disability and occasional commissions add to the family finances). I admit I had thought of that too, let her go through the pain and difficulties alone, then she might start missing me.
The gig in my body is my son, watching from afar as his struggles grow. I so desperately want to be with them, to help him, to comfort him, Delight in being with him as he lives his wonderful life, and be active in his growth towards adulthood.
But, I comfort my self knowing that children are resilient.

I hope…
220.4 lb Lost so far: 6.6 lb.    Still to go: 17.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
