John10251's Journal, 29 December 2016

I gain too... Yep, if I don't tow the line, I too gain. When on plan, I am sometimes concerned about maintaining weight and not getting too low. Some days I have to make sure I get proper nutrition to maintain muscle mass. I got so use to consuming around 1500 calories a day, that I sometimes I have to remind myself of my current RDI of 1800. Well, this gain a pleasant reminder that I still have the capacity to gain. I would be very concerned if I kept losing weight uncontrollably.

Next year I plan to step up my resistance training. I want to keep my cardio exercise at least at the same level if not better. Maintenance has been a challenge but not so much a struggle. I have come to enjoy making healthy food choices and exercise, so much so that it has become a habit. I'm looking forward to 2017. I think I can do better...

Fat Secret should institute a Maintenance mode so that arrows don't have colors associated with normal fluctuations.

John I know you can do it!

I actually use the arrows and color bar to my advantage. They alert me as to when I need to take action. My bar is green now. Come the first week of the new year, I will take action and get back on plan...

I can see the advantage in utilizing the color arrows in that way, maintenance is all about diligence and any help in that regard is a good thing.

Do you go by the RDI FS sets for you for maintenance?
30 Dec 16 by member: RegisteredUser
@RegisteredUser, I set my RDI for FS based on the results I achieved. It is lower than the RDI suggested by both FS and Fitbit...
