JockoT's Journal, 16 December 2016

I actually consider that 1 lb as a success. After the start to my weight week, I have managed to get my eating under control the past couple of days, and my daily weight is now back on the down again.
Got a date to see the consultant regarding my returning hernia. January 24th. By the time I see him, go for a CT scan, see him again, get pencilled in for an op and recover, our Renewal of Vows celebration will have been and gone!
204.0 lb Lost so far: 79.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You've had some tough weeks, and months even, so a slowing is a good thing. You sound a bit calmer about it and getting the weight under control with a few lower daily checks is brilliant. It won't be long before your weekly weigh in is showing a downward trend too. Take care 😊

When is your Renewal of Vows celebration, Jocko?

The beginning of July. Everything is booked. The guests have been invited, so now all we need is me to be fit enough to lead the dancing.

Sounds wonderful. I hope you get your surgery done well before then so you've plenty of time to recover.

Phooka's right. You've been through the mill recently. And it's not easy at this time of year to get things under control. It's good going if your daily weight is dropping. Congratulations. How long have you been married? I'm not sure if you've mentioned that before, but a Renewal of Vows is a significant event. Congratulations for that too.

Well done on getting back in control. Sometimes it is just about damage limitation, I think. If you mention your celebration to the consultant, it might help? Good luck with that x

Well done for getting back control Jocko. That is so sweet that you are renewing your vows. I am sure your op will be done and you will be fully recovered by june

Next year is our 10th anniversary. Most couples wait until at least 25 but at my time of life I'll be knackered by then. Some of the family were not at the wedding (for various reasons), so we decided to do it right this time. Everyone will be there this time round.

I still think that is such a sweet thing to do. A lot of men wouldn't want to go through all of that ... marrying again. You two are still love birds after almost 10 years!

A good loss Jocko. 🎸 Hubby and I renewed our vows 35 years ago on our 10th anniversary. Now we have only 5 years to go for our Golden! OMG X 🎆🎇🎉🎊
