I'm really hoping this weigh-in is incorrect due to water retention, but somehow I doubt it :( I tried to be mindful of portions over the holiday, but the 'bad' food coupled with zero exercise was bound to be detrimental.

....silver lining, I found my wedding dress, which measured out the same as what I had been wearing prior to the holiday weight gain (I found and was fitted for it
Black Friday, after all the bad choice eating was done).

This is my dress. It was the first one I tried on, both my mom and I fell in love with it to the point that another soon-to-be-bride had tried it on later and mom flagged my attendant saying she wanted me to try it on (not realizing i already had, lol). Totally wasn't expecting to find it so soon, but I adore it. Hoping to book the venue later today, and I need to start toning my arms (try to lessen the bat wings, so to speak).

Regardless of the poor eating/exercise, the holidays were nice. Running around checking into venues (we're getting married out of state as all the family is out that way) gave me time to unwind with my mom, and we had both families together for dinner and it was just really nice.

Here's hoping your holiday was pleasant, food challenges and triumphs aside.

Some of it is for sure water weight. You'll get back on track with the eating and exercise, just jump right back on that horse, and try to write everything down as soon as you can so you can see it there in front of you. If you can, do some light weights just to get those endorphins going, and it will help you ease back into regular exercise.

Thank you all for the kind words and support :) Definitely planning to hit the gym with a vengeance tomorrow and start up a weight routine for the arms.

I recommend planks! I would do a routine with hand weights too of course. I like the assisted pull up machine at my gym. Really works your upper back, shoulders and of course those arms!!!
