Rckc's Journal, 11 November 2016

Well, there's the payoff. A couple of times I was hanging on tooth and nail (I'm not even sure what that means, I think my grandma used to say it, lol). Now to make it thru the weekend. Mexican tonight and steakhouse tomorrow night. Both have great options for me. Husband is home on the weekends and it's the late night "snack" that can undo me!
My husband is not a big eater so he ends up hungry around 10pm. Puts a frozen pizza in. I find it hard to resist even tho I'm not hungry. AND it's not even that good! I tried not buying "legal" snacks to try to NOT snack but that didn't work. I'm trying to be mindful of the Beast Challenge and at least keep it at a minimum. I am saving calories in case I need them at night and I have a few things I can eat without guilt.

Whatever happens I WILL log it. I will HAVE to look at it in black and white. I WILL own it

You're SO close to goal, and you've come so far! This is when you're teaching yourself what maintenance will look like. I'm very proud of you!

That's a really cute dog! And, you recognize your habits ahead of time, so that's the first step in the process of being able to stop yourself. If your husband makes a pizza or other "illegal" foods, go upstairs, or to a different room with your own snack. You can get a tape recorder with your own voice telling yourself motivational words, and things reminding yourself what you are working for that you need to remember in times of weakness. Play it back to yourself when you want that pizza and hopefully you will change your mind because you will remember what's REALLY important to you in the long run!

You know what REALLY gets me? I've been on this journey for almost 2 years and STILL I fall into old habits like THAT. You know how they say it takes 4 weeks to replace a bad habit with a good one? I SCREAM BS on that one!!! For ME anyway, it is a never ending battle to not fall into old ways....

That's the same way I am with sugar. I go with out it for weeks or days, and then all of a sudden, I eat it again, whether consciously or unconiously-and there I go again. I can't stop!
