Well, it's Friday exactly two weeks after surgery, and I could only have wished, that I would feel this good. Weight is great, doctor was very happy, and I stopped at a restaurant, where I grew up, and these two, little old ladies sat next to me, and we talked old times in the city of Arcadia. Home of Santa Anita race track. A horse town, really. I went to school with a lot of horse people, and some became famous. My dad took me to gamble, as a grade school kid, and I placed bets at the window, because I looked 18 at 12 years old. I learned a lot about horses and racing. Well, watching Magnum PI reruns, getting ready for Palm Springs, Vegas, and Waikiki. Have a SUPER day, everyone!!! ALWAYS LOVE THE PALI HIGHWAY, THESE PALI'S WERE THE BACKDROP FOR THE MOVIE JURASSIC PARK!

That is the big island of Hawaii, where Kilauea one of the active volcanoes exists. Steven went to Kona where lava from Kilauea spills into the ocean, which makes it one of the great diving spots, because there is no thin sand, only lava rock in the water. It makes the water visibility like upwards to 120 feet in the water. Water on the Los Angeles coast is, on a good day, 15 feet. Won't get to the big island. We may get to two, though.

Thanks Kes! I was reading today how homeless women in Los Angeles are becoming a critical problem. Many homeless come here for the warmer climate. The sad thing is some of these women have children, and are more vulnerable to attack by men. Many of these women are scared, and have few options. One in three homeless are women here in LA. The amount of homeless women has tripled here in just a few years. Many are being sexually assaulted. Please think about the vulnerable, when you cast your vote. This just isn't right! This was a front page article in the LA Times today! THE ENTIRE FRONT PAGE OF THE LA TIMES IS DEVOTED TO THIS PROBLEM. I KNOW SOME ON FS HERE HAVE SPOKEN OF THEIR NEEDS TOO! VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE, PLEASE!

If you remember I talked of a woman, that came to our door late at night, and wanted me to call 911 to say she was homeless. We have a street a block or so over, that is an unincorporated area next to a wash, that is a haven for RV's and cars of the homeless. It is always packed. So many of these people live in these vehicles, and they are all over.

Glad you're feeling so well. :) Love those picture of Na Pali!!! My favorite place in the world... My husband and I got married there (technically Anini Beach) but we took a helicopter tour over the Na Pali coastline the next day, and then hiked it afterward. It's beyond amazing. :) Best wishes to you on your vacation!

Roobert, thanks! We are going to Waikiki, and maybe one other, not sure. You nailed it, this first pic is Kauai, but the Pali in Oahu look similar. That is neat you go married there, as that beach is great!

WARREN! Those photos got to me! I lived on Oahu for 15 years and visited the other islands and Hawaii is a truly magical, spiritual wonderful place. All three of my children were born there and Hawaii will always be special to me. My mother and Father lived there for 25 years and her ashes were scattered on The Kailua Beach Park seashore. Thanks for the memories!!! :)!!!

I had a special feeling about you being a soulmate, lulani. Now I understand. Hawaii is so SPECIAL to me. I have most likely been there 20 or more times. It is a home away from home.

Lulani, I will try to contact a Hawaiian woodworker and make a memorial for her. Would you like a cross? I know the beaches over there. I know the Kailua State beach. It's interesting that Hawaiians were upset with memorial statues that turned their backs to the ocean. Hawaiians have ultimate respect for the rath of the ocean.
