Thumbs up for eating on plan. Need help with my exercise goal.

I just deleted two paragraphs of excuses why I don't exercise.

I am grateful my second job is for a small company with a dedicated owner and employees. At first glance, the care there is top notch.

Lol! Well it can't be because Barb didn't tell you to.... seriously though, try movement in short spurts. It's been helping me kill this 17 lb thing. I don't have a lot of time either. If you can adjust your thinking to grasp that fat isn't all evil then you can readjust thinking exersice has to be all long sweat sessions.

Nice drop, Lady. The exercise thing is something that a lot of us struggle with I think.

I have a cardboard box in my office and make my own standing desk in front of my computer - not that I always remember but it helps to stand up and sort of march in place while I type

That's my bugaboo, too, Lady. I'm getting better, but there's just so much to exercise my mind! LOL Glad to hear the new job is working out.

Someone commented how working out is like a part time job...it really is...There is so much I don't get done anymore, dishes in the sink or dusting...but Instead of "running errands"...I walk them and the purpose behind the walk really motivates me! Good luck...you will find the time!

Nice drop lady! I have been forcing myself to take walks at lunch time because it's not good to just sit behind the desk all day and it clears your mind. I use the MapMyWalk+ app on my phone to track time/distance and i like seeing the cool little path of where you walked. plus you can save it. The other thing I do is park far away just to get those extra steps. The only time that I had to do a workout (i started weight lifting 2 months ago) was when I normally was sleeping. So now I get up early and workout at 7. I'm not a morning person and it is hard to get up but totally worth it! You can do it!!

Lady, I live in a cold and snowy place. I know that you think you do too, but I'm up here in Canada where it is really cold and really snowy for most of the year. And dark - did I mention the d&$@darkness! This means that I have a tendency to go into hibernation mode - not moving and putting on fat like a momma griz from September until about June. This is not an attractive thing and it gets pretty easy to make excuses to sit around by the fireplace. This is when you need workout buddies - in the real world. People who will kick your butt if you miss an excercise class. People whose butt you can kick if they do the same. Y'a gotta have friends! And you gotta make time - for them, and for you.

LOL @ I think I live in a cold place! Canada and North Dakota, I bow to your higher level of suffering! Good suggestions, everyone! Before posting this reply, I did some calisthenics. My neck has some serious crepitus and I had to modify the burpees, but I did get my respiratory rate up.

I don't need 2 paragraphs to explain why I don't exercise. "I don't like to" End of story.
