Sorry, I couldn't fight the urge to enter today's weight when I swore to do it once a week on Wednesdays. I hope this drop inspires at least one FS member.

Repeat after me: My excuses are what is between where I am and where I want to be. I will replace my excuses with reasons and get it done!

4 day weekend ahead for me which hopefully I can keep my eyes on the prize. Just staying the same weight on Tuesday will be a win for me.

Speaking of win, while in bed last night, my wife asked if I put away one donut for one of my kids or the other two would demolish what was left of a dozen donuts she picked up in the morning for the kids with the rabbit metabolism. I let her know that me touching the donut was not wise, like poking the bear, but I obliged. Well, when I picked up the sticky glazed donut to place it in a sandwich bag, my fingers started to burn like I touched the stove or the grill, so I quickly sealed the bag, washed of my fingers before they couldn't enter my mouth, you know, just a little taste can't hurt, and I went back to bed.

Getting stronger day by day.

What encouraging words! Thank you. You are doing a great job, and yes, it is a day by day journey. I can now pass up foods I just thought I had to have a month ago.

This is awesome!! Keep going and having this attitude, and you will get where you want to be! I've been able to pass up foods more easily now too, but it definitely wasn't easy at first. Most of my temptations come from coworkers who know I'm making a lifestyle change to be healthier, but still prod me with pizza, cake, ice cream and cookies. I politely say "thanks for the offer, and I'm sure they are delicious, but I didn't budget that in my calories today". At first, I used to just say no thanks, but I added the above sentence as a more formal way to express why I am saying no. This has sparked a lot of interest including questions like "You actually TRACK what you eat?", which opens up opportunities to teach and share with my coworkers what I'm doing. One of them has been so inspired by my determination that she started parking a lot further from the office to get more steps in. Another one started bringing healthier snack options to team meetings, which surprisingly are one of the first ones to go. It's amazing how others notice your progress, your resilience, your dedication, your consistency... You never know who's watching you and who's becoming motivated to make big changes in their life. That's why it's so important to be a living example to others. Imagine how much healthier everyone would be!

Amazing proud of you my brother. I walk past about 10 temptations a patrol on my rounds through the complex. Bowls of mini candy bars, Boxes of donuts, trays of hard candies, Jars of mints, a Free DOVE hot chocolate machine(THE REALLY GOOD THICK stuff) Constant treys of cupcakes and normal cake. Its like a gauntlet of HUGE ASS ON A TRAY every single day here. And I just walk right through remembering how close to dead those things made me. Again Ches, Im proud of you man.

FatSwatter, the pizza is an easy fix; ditch the crust keep the toppings! Donuts, cake, ice cream and cookies are just better turned down. Nice work Ches, you're really hitting your stride, keep at it my friend, you own it.
