Reaching new records!
Still jogging (yay!) but still smoking (bouu!). With summer slowly coming in, it's easier to do activities and I went for a solo hiking last week.

It was supposed to be a 4 days hike, but I had to shut it down earlier because I got caught by massive rain (3h of pouring rain) and I had no rain cover for my backpack (it died last year and I forgot to replace it. As the forcast where for great weather all week, I didn't bother with it, so rain got in and my sleeping bag got the worst of it.

Still, I had a day and a half, and I hiked 25 km on the 55 km that were planned so it might have something to do with the little drop. Hiking for 7h in a day (with a 45 lbs backpack) is an expense of about 6000 cals, that'd do the trick for a couple pounds.

Anyways, next year, I'll have a rain cover, my sleeping bag will be in a water proof bag and I'll manage a 50 km hike!

Keep it up FatSecreters!

Wow, we hike quite a bit in the summer but we haven't camped while hiking.

Skwhite, going on a 3 day hike is one of the best things I've done in the last few years. It needs a lot of planning, but it's definitely worth it. I'm a bit sad that I abandoned so quickly this year. I'll have my revenge next year.
