A most wonderful Saturday to all our community! Had a wonderful night eating Prime Rib at Dresden's on Vermont Avenue. Got to know a great couple, that I met on the shuttle, that were real interested in Los Angeles rock history, and I talked to them before the concert for over an hour. They were new to LA, and were interested in Vegas, also. My wife bought me a Jason Bonham hoodie, as I forgot my jacket. Concert was sensational, as usual. I believe, for Jason, it is always very special to play in the city, he lives. Last song of set: Stairway to Heaven. Last song of encore: Whole Lotta Love! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Warren, you do more interesting things in a week than I do in a year, lol! Glad you enjoyed your evening 🙂

You are welcome, Mildred!

Funny, I made one bad mistake in talking to the couple about Vegas. I asked them if they are married, because we were talking about comps, and generally Vegas comps come more freely to married couples. He kind of dodged the question, and then said they were. I felt bad.

LOL, Warren, maybe they were married, but not to each other!!

Funny Pandasmom, when you first meet people. He was much older than her, I believe, and a very sweet lady, I was impressed with her, but he was a very nice guy too. He did most of the talking. He was so interested in concerts I had been to, as he grew up in an out of state rural area.

@panda- Hence the saying, "What happens in Vegas..." Lol!

Thanks, Jessberry! The reason is we really don't have family, or children. That makes it easier to blow your money on trivial stuff. We save nothing.

Kids do take a big chunk of money to raise. That's why I'm gonna live vicariously through you 😉

THAT is a nice venue - reminds me of Bethel Woods in New York, or Alpine Valley in Wisconsin.

This is one of the very quaint venues here in Los Angeles. One of the best for small concerts, here. Thanks, HCB!

Ha ha, Buddy Hackett did that to Jerry and me in front of the entire audience at his show in Vegas! We answered that we weren't married, so he demanded to know when was this old man going to marry this young girl. Awkward! He then drank my Kahlua and cream and pronounced it to be bull sperm. And made me feel his thigh muscle. Good times. Phenomenal show. Nice man. We happened to see him later in the casino, and he insisted on having his assistant take a photo of us with him. Now that Jerry's gone too, I'm grateful for that photo. Glad you had a great time last night!

Oh, that's so funny Kp, Buddy Hackett! That guy was a crack up. I had the exact thing happen to the two of us with Andrew Dice Clay. He asked if we were married, and how long? With Dice you were really nervous with your fingers crossed. My wife isn't the most gregarious one either. You know how I didn't say the two of us were talking to the couple? My wife was at our seats, and I was walking in the front arena crowd and the couple saw me, and we talked. The Dice thing was cool though. He actually was nice to us, thank god.lol It is always funny how comics always make points off the audience.

I kind of wondered afterwards that I may have blown it for that guy, in front of his date. They kind of talked like they were married. My guess is that they were living together, or common law. We saw them on the shuttle after the concert, and he wasn't as warm. Either he was tired or I put him in a uncomfortable spot. lol They were good people. I thought she was a sweet lady, especially.

Interesting, I am watching the Autopsy of River Phoenix. I didn't realize he died on the sidewalk of the last club I attended, The Viper room. Was owned by Johnny Depp until he sold it, maybe after River's death.

It could have been worse. You could have asked her if she was pregnant and made her feel fat.
