Wow nice surprise on the scale this morning! 400 grams gone! That is almost a pound! And the lowest I have been in decades! Slowly but surely the weight is coming off, and I am starting to see veins that were once covered by fat on my arms and hands LOL

I guess this no snacking thing really is working! Woohoo!

The other good news is that they will be removing the chlorine from our water that they had added since the Feb quake. It has been playing havoc with my skin so as long as we have no big quakes we will be getting our pure fresh "better than bottled water" water back! Yay! Stay away quakes!!!! LOL

I hope everyone is well this morning, big hugs to you all!

Hi squiggly, we have chlorine here but I am mainly drinking seltzer water. I hope to visit your country one day. I was stationed in the Philippines at Clark Air Base - met one friendly military man when I was hospitalized for my arthritis flaring up in 1982, many guys were there - retired from New Zealand and Australia but off base none got friendly with any of us... When I saw the movie 'Willow' as a young man and then the TV shows there etc. I wanted to visit. Someday once I am published...

Congratulations by the way on your loss... and if you exercise even a little it comes off all the faster!

BTW - I was in many small quakes in the Philippines and then numerous Los Angeles quakes including the dreadful 6.7 Northridge, which was like 4:30 in morning and it was dark and it felt like a bomb, also the Big Bear and Landers quakes the same morning were terrifying because the shaking went on for so long... I live in Massachusetts now so don't miss that any longer, the weather is fantastic there but I don't want to go back anyway... hope your city is OK, I guess you must be in Christchurch or near it...

Big Bear and Landers were the same morning but a few years before Northridge, I just wanted to clarify that... have a good day...

Sorry about the earthquakes, they are NOT fun. I am never going to live in Los Angeles again for the long haul. Cold weather here, but no worrying about highway overpasses crumbling down or the place you live in either...

Hey, you look fabulous in confetti! We should have more parties!!

I would take cold weather over earthquakes too. But I love our city (what's left of it LOL).

Yes, I am starting to enjoy my life here - it is a top pick as a retirement destination. There is so much culture here from Smith College and four other major colleges within less than fifteen miles. Three major ones in Amherst and one in South Hadley. UMass-Amherst, Amherst College, Hampshire College and Mount Holyoke. Have a good day, it's night here...
