I am back on the train as of today! I can no longer use the excuse of chemo and steroids causing the weight gain, I have been off the chemo and steroids since Dec. 14th. I have begun water aerobics and am finally beginning to move a bit more. Time to get rid of the "comfort food" like ice cream, bread and tons of carbs. My doc told me it was time to be a little uncomfortable. 😎 So now it's time to be relentless n tracking calories and string in my allowable calorie zone. I put on 30 pounds while doing chemo. I already needed to lose 10 to 15lbs. So now I need to lose 40 to 50lbs. I know I can do this with a healthy diet and exercise.
198.8 lb Lost so far: 0.2 lb.    Still to go: 48.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Congrats and welcome back - this train will take you where you want to go if you don't get de-railed, stay on track, or it could be another train wreck! If you are hooked on icecream, may I suggest a healthy alternative? I just discovered "Yonanas". Costco sells it for $39. - You can make icecream and amazing desserts from frozen bananas and fruit - that's it. It is delicious and amazing!

A smoothie from bananas and other fruits would be delicious all by themselves

Cutting sugars (even fruit sugars) will help you decrease carbs. Stick with berries, if you have to have fruit...no juice. Cook like your grandmother did...meats, whole vegis, good fats. They didn't have much processed sugar, except on desserts. I quit sugars right after Christmas. Hard at first. But I dont want any at all now!!! Feelin' great. Cut breads and pastas. Now cutting root vegis too...at least for a month to see what it does. I wish you the best. You fought one hard battle to live...now, take good care of that body. It's worth the effort.

clwisehart...thanks for the tip...I no longer eat meat, or fish or dairy or re-placement fake stuff. I try to ybalance all natural food. Basically the DR. McDUGGAL... Starch Diet. They just had to cut my neck open and scrape out the clog from 30 years of cheese, meat , Industrial American Food. Carbs are not a problem any more, if you lower your Fat an oil supplement with B 12 and K2.
