A most wonderful Easter weekend to all of us FatSecret fans, who wish to monitor our health here. Just wanted to say, that the outpouring of sympathy, gratitude, and accomplishment, to Garry Shandling has been wonderful, and deeply felt, especially by so many industry people here. Bill Maher gave a wonderful tribute, last night, which centered around the sensitivity, and accomplishment of a great man. Conan O'Brian also spoke of that sensitivity, he felt from him, when he lost his show. The industry has lost an icon.

Warren's Diet Tip of the Day: I have talked about beginning your diet with a Metabolic Reset of your diet, which involves a period of two weeks of some kind of fasting regimen. It's to let your system, detox in a way from the carbo bombardment, that has taken place for many years. Most likely, Sugar has been bad for you, but food should give you energy. It shouldn't make you feel prostrated. But that is what SUGAR and STARCHES unfortunately DO!

Hey Warren, I am asking this just from being curious - doesn't your dear spouse know you are trying to lose a few pounds? Why bring you a donut? My husband avoids letting me even see the treats he eats! LOL

To be honest, HCB. I have tried very hard to get my wife dieting. She needs it more than me. If you were to see my belly, you would say, I have no problem for my age, my belly is flat, but weight is hurting my wife's back and knees. She is very stubborn, and I think it's a bit psychological. She doesn't like me talking about my diet. lol I know you and others here are so commited to their health. It is difficult to understand. lol

I loved his Larry Sander's Show, and Bill Maher made a point, that Garry Shandling had two transformational comedy shows on TV over his career. A great accomplishment.

Didn't see that! I keep on watching this. I'm mesmerized by this show. That was sooo funny! I love that drive in Hollywood too. I saw David Brenner's last Vegas show too. I was right in front of the guy. I loved him too.

OH - you are my hero then - you are trying to lead your wife by example! Very good. I hope she will see how well you start to feel losing a few pounds, and then know how much you wish her to feel well, too.

HCB, I'm am glad you are optimistic. lol Funny, my wife is awful with pain, and she just won't follow my advice. I am less sympathetic because I tell her, she needs to diet to relieve the pain. Dear, it is pain of diet vs pain of stress. lol

Hubby and I were just talking about pain and how it increases when sugar consumption increases...

That is funny. Sugar should have horns on it under a microscope. lol I played football, and am as good as it gets with pain, but my knee has pushed my limits, but I don't cry about it like a baby. If you get my drift. Ligament pain is as bad as it gets. I will get another doctor soon. As if I need more. lol

My husband was like that, hated it when I talked about WW points etc. So I try not to talk about weight loss or diet around him. I think he was threatened by me changing - like it implied that he was now not up to par. I try to make it clear that I love him always no matter what. Anyway, after about 6 months he must have decided he wanted a change for himself and he found his own way - totally different than mine. After a year on his program, he's visibly fitter and a pants size smaller than before. (He refuses to weigh himself). You never know what might happen.

I have found diet is something, that an individual much embrace. I have a friend, that soon I'm going to Vegas with, and he would never think of dieting, and weighs close to 400 pounds, and seems to be preparing for his own death. He can't wait to go to The Heart Attack Grill and get free, greasy food. I am going to talk about it on here, when we go. Some people just can't discipline themselves at all. It does help to have a partner to share a diet.

Suzy, we go to the movies quite a bit, but haven't gone lately because of our hurts lately. write me sometime about your daughter. Having taught high school, I am curious as to your perspective on your daughter, and your challenges in raising her. What does she like to do to entertain herself? Being older, and alone must be interesting in those challenges. I know young people pretty well. How old is she? I wish you the best, and I am sure she is your chief concern.
